This Overnight Cheesy Sausage and Hashbrown Casserole is a convenient dish for holiday breakfasts, combining savory breakfast sausage with creamy cheese and crispy hash browns. Prepare it the night before to save time on Christmas morning, allowing you to focus on enjoying family time. With a rich cheesy topping and spices enhancing the flavor, it’s perfect for gatherings or weekend brunches.
In a large frying pan, cook sausage until brown. Drain and set aside.
In the same frying pan, lightly brown hash browns.
Place hash browns into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Top with sausage and cheese.
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and all spices until combined. Pour over casserole mixture.
Cover casserole dish with aluminum foil and place in the refrigerator overnight.
The next day, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until cheese starts to bubble and brown on top.
