Preheat your oven to 400°F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, cooked chicken pieces, bacon bits, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, thawed frozen vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, and dried thyme.
Mix well until each ingredient is evenly coated.
Grease a 7x11-inch baking dish and spread the hash brown mixture evenly in the dish.
In a small bowl, crush the Ritz crackers and stir in the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese.
Sprinkle the cracker and cheese mixture evenly over the hash brown mixture.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
Let the casserole rest for about 10–15 minutes before serving.
