
Beer Battered Onion Rings

Beer battered onion rings are a fast food classic known for their crispy, airy dough and sweet, soft onions inside. The delightful batter, enhanced with spices, creates a flavor explosion that elevates this dish beyond typical delivery options. Perfect as an appetizer or paired with burgers and sandwiches, these onion rings are surprisingly easy to make. Serve them with a flavorful dipping sauce that adds a spicy kick to match your taste preference.
Ingredients
- •2 medium brown onions (peeled and sliced into rings)
- •150 g all-purpose flour
- •1.5 tsp paprika
- •0.13 tsp ground cayenne pepper (optional, very spicy!)
- •0.5 tsp baking powder
- •1 tsp salt
- •pepper (to taste)
- •200 ml beer
- •500 ml vegetable oil (for frying)
- •3 tbsp mayonnaise
- •3 tbsp ketchup
- •1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar)
- •0.5 tsp tabasco (or other spicy sauce)
- •2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- •1 tsp mustard

Peel the onion and slice it into 2cm/¾in rings.
